PTE/TOEFL

• PTE (Pearson Test of English) is a fully computer-based test.
• TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) can be internet-based (iBT) and has both human and AI scoring.

Both are accepted for study/work/immigration worldwide.

It depends on your skills.

• If you are more comfortable with typing & AI-based evaluation → PTE may feel easier.
• If you’re good at academic-style English & prefer partial human evaluation → TOEFL may suit you.

Both PTE and TOEFL scores are valid for 2 years.

• PTE Academic → about 2 hours.
• TOEFL iBT → about 2 hours.

• PTE → usually within 1–3 days.
• TOEFL → usually within 4–8 days.

• PTE: Scores range from 10–90.
• TOEFL iBT: Scores range from 0–120.

• PTE: Accepted by many universities, colleges, and immigration authorities (Australia, New Zealand, UK, Canada, etc.).
• TOEFL: Accepted by 12,000+ institutions worldwide.

There is no limit. You can retake both exams as many times as you like, but you must wait at least 3 days (PTE) or 12 days (TOEFL) between attempts.
